 Trip Highlights:This is an exciting road safari that takes you to explore the pristine wilderness of the Maasai Mara. The trip will start at Nairobi and end in Nairobi and will offer you an opportunity to spot plenty of wildlife varying from the big five, numerous bird life, plains game and beautiful scenery. If you wish, you may combine the adventure with a cultural visit to the nearby Maasai villages. Our professional English-speaking driver/guide will take you for game drives in a private safari minivan while at the park. You will spend the nights on a full board basis in the Sopa Lodge.

 

 Detailed Itinerary:
 Day 1: Nairobi – Maasai Mara Game Reserve

Early in the morning at 8.00am you will be met at your residence within Nairobi by the driver/guide and Tour Manager who will welcome you and brief you on your safari before escorting you to the vehicle for transfer to Maasai Mara. You will arrive in the Mara in time for lunch at your lodge, which will be followed by an afternoon game drive till evening.

 The Maasai Mara National Reserve, now the New 7th wonder of the world and 4th most preferred tourist destination in the world is a home to wildlife in such abundance and variety that it is difficult to imagine. The most spectacular event of the natural world takes place here; The annual migration of millions of wildebeest and zebra from the Serengeti (Tanzania) in search of water and pasture while being followed on their heels by the predators of the savanna; lion, cheetah, wild dog, jackal, hyena and vulture. It hosts over 450 species of animals which include lions, rhinos, hippos, crocodiles, giraffe, wildebeests, zebras, buffalo, warthogs, hyenas, jackals, wild dogs, buffalo, leopard, many kinds of antelopes and elephants.

 Day 2: Maasai Mara Game Reserve

After breakfast, you will depart with packed picnic lunch for a full day’s game drive. In the evening you will be transferred back to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

 Optional Balloon Flight

 You can opt to carry out your game viewing activity on an adventurous and unforgettable balloon flight over the spectacular Mara at an extra cost. This package includes a champagne drink in the wild making it very interesting.

 The park inhabits a great number of wildebeests migrating from Serengeti National Reserve, Tanzania which makes the park almost the same with the same animal species. Their numbers are estimated in millions. This migration starts in July each year when over one million wildebeest along with large numbers of Thompson's gazelles, zebra and other herbivores migrate from the Serengeti plains in Tanzania to fresh pastures in the north and then back south again in October.

 Day 3: Maasai Mara Game Reserve – Nairobi

After early breakfast, check out of your lodge and depart for a final game drive en route to Nairobi. Upon arrival at Nairobi, you will be taken for lunch at a famous restaurant before being transferred back to your residence within Nairobi or to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport to catch your international departure flight to your next destination.
