Trip Highlights: This is an exciting flying safari that takes you to explore the pristine wilderness of the Maasai Mara. The trip will start at either Malindi or Mombasa and will fly you to the Mara Reserve offering you an opportunity to spot plenty of wildlife varying from the big five, numerous bird life, plains game and beautiful scenery. If you wish, you may combine the adventure with a cultural visit to the nearby Maasai villages. Our professional English-speaking driver/guide will take you for game drives in a private safari minivan while at the park. You will spend the nights on a full board basis in a 5-star lodge.
Itinerary:
Day 1: Mombasa/Malindi – Maasai Mara Game Reserve
In the morning at 06.00hrs, you will be met at your residence within Mombasa or Malindi by the driver/guide and be briefed about your safari. After the briefing, you will be transferred to Moi International Airport to check in for your Mara flight which departs at 07.30hrs. You will arrive in the Mara reserve at 10.30hrs and be met by another driver who will transfer you to your lodge for check in. After check in, you will carry picnic lunch and then depart for a game viewing drive till dusk.
The Maasai Mara National Reserve, now the New 7th wonder of the world and 4th most preferred tourist destination in the world is a home to wildlife in such abundance and variety that it is difficult to imagine. The most spectacular event of the natural world takes place here; The annual migration of millions of wildebeest and zebra from the Serengeti (Tanzania) in search of water and pasture while being followed on their heels by the predators of the savanna; lion, cheetah, wild dog, jackal, hyena and vulture. It hosts over 450 species of animals which include lions, rhinos, hippos, crocodiles, giraffe, wildebeests, zebras, buffalo, warthogs, hyenas, jackals, wild dogs, buffalo, leopard, many kinds of antelopes and elephants.

Day 2: Maasai Mara Game Reserve
After breakfast, you will depart with packed picnic lunch for a full day’s game drive. In the evening you will be transferred back to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
Optional Balloon Flight
You can opt to carry out your game viewing activity on an adventurous and unforgettable balloon flight over the spectacular Mara at an extra cost. This package includes a champagne drink in the wild making it very interesting.
The park inhabits a great number of wildebeests migrating from Serengeti National Reserve, Tanzania which makes the park almost the same with the same animal species. Their numbers are estimated in millions. This migration starts in July each year when over one million wildebeest along with large numbers of Thompson's gazelles, zebra and other herbivores migrate from the Serengeti plains in Tanzania to fresh pastures in the north and then back south again in October.

Day 3: Maasai Mara Game Reserve – Nairobi
After early breakfast, check out of your lodge with packed lunch and depart for game drives. You will have your lunch in the wild and thereafter at 13.00hrs be transferred to the airstrip to check in for your return flight to Mombasa or Malindi which departs at 14.00hrs. Upon arrival, you will be met by the driver and be transferred back to your residence in Mombasa or Malindi.
